Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a full-time (40 hours), academic-year (32 weeks) Baker. This position is available in Dining Services and is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods sold and served by the College Dining Services. Responsibilities include preparing a wide variety of breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries and other baked goods to include preparation of batter and dough, placing in pans for rising and baking, and monitoring rising dough and baked products. Will package baked goods, check inventory and replenish stock as needed, follow all required health and safety procedures, and perform related bake shop tasks as assigned.
Must have familiarity with commercial/institutional bakery operations along with basic technical knowledge and skills in quantity baked goods production.
High school education required plus one year relevant work experience. Experience operating commercial mixing equipment and ovens, along with experience with recipe modification preferred.
